'Tis the Season for Generosity
It will be a very happy holiday for the residents at St. John Specialty Care Center and RoseCrest this year thanks to the many supporters of the Holiday Glam Fashion Show at Treesdale Golf and Country Club on November 1.
“This show supports our mission to make sure that every resident receives a gift,” said Karen Russell, executive director of St. John.
“Approximately $10,500 was raised to remind these residents that they are loved and valued, not just at the holidays but all year long,” said Renée Pekor, president of the Lutheran SeniorLife Foundation.
Janelle Hall, WTAE Channel 4 news anchor, was the show’s mistress of ceremonies. “What a fantastic cause!” she said. “It’s such an honor to help support the residents.”
In addition to the fashion show with clothing provided by Christopher & Banks in the Streets of Cranberry, attendees had the opportunity to participate in a gift basket raffle and shop at several vendor tables.
Lutheran SeniorLife would like to thank the show’s Spotlight Sponsor, Etzel Engineer & Build, Inc., Platinum Sponsors Thrivent Allegheny and Butler County Chapters and all other sponsors and attendees who are instrumental in providing an Abundant Life® for the residents.
