Music Brings Us Together: Overbrook Pointe’s Valentine’s Concert a Big Hit Posted on February 20, 2025February 20, 2025 At Overbrook Pointe, a community that knows how to celebrate the good things, residents and guests gathered for a Valentine’s Day concert featuring Patrick Heiserman, who describes himself as an “old soul.” Equipped with both an acoustic and electric guitar and an appreciation for classic songs, his heartfelt performance transformed the event into a celebration of connection and nostalgia, all through the universal language of music. The crowd sipped drinks and indulged in mini éclairs, cookies, and cheesecake bites. But the real sweetness was it was in the setlist. Nostalgic hits from Nat King Cole or the classic love song “When I’m Sixty-Four” from The Beatles brought smiles and sing-alongs. “Music brings us together,” Heiserman told the crowd, and he meant it. When Heiserman switched to his electric guitar, that was when the fun began: crowd participation. The audience contributed to the famous song “Minnie the Moocher”, by Cab Calloway. In the spirt of the song, Heiserman had the audience participate by repeating each scat phrase, “Hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi” and “Ho-ho-ho-ho-ho.” before it became too fast and complicated for the crowd to repeat. “I felt connected to the audience today,” Heiserman reflected after the show. “I threw the energy out to them, and they sent it back to me. It was a great exchange, and I loved every moment of it.” To conclude the show, he performed his own original song, Soul Flame. “It’s a perfect little Valentine’s Day song,” he said. As Heiserman played his final notes, the audience responded with a well-earned ovation. “Patrick’s music ability it special,” expressed Ashley Treadway, St. John Community Regional Marketing Manager. “We’re so grateful for the joy he shared with our residents and guests.”
