Passavant Community Celebrates Valentine’s Day Posted on February 21, 2025February 28, 2025 Wittenberg Resident Brings Community Together with Valentine’s Celebration Fifty residents of Wittenberg Place, part of the Passavant Community, came together for a Valentine’s Day celebration made possible by the dedication and planning of fellow resident Cindy Pirrera. What started as a simple idea quickly became a community-wide gathering, bringing neighbors together for an evening of food, games, and social connection. Pirrera took the lead in organizing the festivities, enlisting fellow residents as volunteers to help prepare and serve a homemade meal. Guests enjoyed Sloppy Joes made from scratch by Pirrera, with a side of mac and cheese and an assortment of cookies for dessert. The party featured several games with prizes, filling the room with laughter as residents embraced the opportunity to spend time with friends and meet new neighbors. Many residents expressed their appreciation for Cindy and all her hard work that went into the party, leaving everyone with plenty of memories that come from the simple joys found in good food and great company. Love, Laughter, and Chocolate: Newhaven Court Residents Celebrate Valentine’s Day There wasn’t just one Valentine’s Day party at Passavant Community recently. Newhaven Court‘s personal care apartments also held their own party for its residents. Life Enrichment Coordinator Sam Machler led the effort, ensuring the event was more than a holiday party. “We had such a great time celebrating with all the residents,” Machler said. And celebrate, they did. The afternoon featured a lively Valentine’s-themed bingo game, in which residents participated in friendly competition. A card-making station encouraged creativity, allowing attendees to craft heartfelt messages for loved ones. One of the biggest hits of the event was the themed photo booth, where residents posed with Valentine’s props, capturing moments of joy with friends. And, of course, no Valentine’s Day would be complete without something sweet. A chocolate-covered treat station provided the sweet tooth for everyone.
