The Commons Dazzling Christmas Celebration 2023

Each year, residents of The Commons at Stonebrook Village look forward to the annual resident Christmas Party. It’s a time to gather, enjoy each others company, listen to Christmas music and most importantly, each some delicious food! Talented pianist, Ron Soltis, set the perfect holiday mood with Christmas tunes like “Winter Wonderland,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” and “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” along with many more holiday classics throughout the day.

The Commons Head Chef, Caleb Williams prepared a feast fit for the occasion. The meal included a seafood bisque and salad as an appetizer, followed by mouthwatering chicken cordon bleu, roast beef, and sides of asparagus and creamy mashed potatoes.

The dessert, featured cheesecake with raspberry sauce and something truly special – two trays of homemade cookies by the amazing Shirley Bennett, who, at 89, still serves at The Commons five days a week. Her delightful cookie selection included six different kinds, including Marshmallow, as well as nut and apricot kolackys.

“Today was exceptionally delicious,” said Commons resident Ted Bergfelt, who summed up the evening perfectly. “The food was amazing, and the whole atmosphere was everything you could want. Stonebrook is the closest thing to heaven on earth you can see anywhere.”
