Strength in Every Step: Passavant Residents Redefine Aging During Men’s Health Month Posted on June 26, 2025 At Passavant Community, Men’s Health Month isn’t just another date on the calendar. It is a reflection of daily life where perseverance, purpose, and the power of exercise take center stage. Take Bill Webber, for example. At 96 and a half years old, this five-year resident still finds his rhythm on the NuStep machine. A former steelworker who once walked 15 to 20 miles a week, Bill has always stayed active. “I’ve always needed to move,” Bill says. “It keeps me feeling good.” Bob Bablik, 89, another longtime resident, finds his motivation in a Strength and Balance class. “I love taking Chad’s class. It loosens the whole body,” Bablik says. “We do a little of everything. Stretch, lift, reach, breathe. It keeps me feeling strong.” That “Chad” is Chad Ift, Exercise Specialist and Aquatics Lead for ASPIRE Wellness. Ift believes men like Bill and Bob represent what it truly means to age with intention. “They do not let age define them,” Ift says. “They are doing incredible things every day and I love when I see them working out or coming to one of my classes.” These men and many residents are living with strength, purpose, and grace, proving that no matter your age, it is never too late to move with intention, to challenge yourself, and to embrace each day as an opportunity to grow stronger—body, mind, and spirit.
