Mardi Gras Magic at The Commons at Stonebrook Village

It was a celebration fit for the Big Easy as The Commons at Stonebrook Village welcomed the pomp and circumstance of Mardi Gras with a vivacious blend of music, dance, and classic New Orleans cuisine.

The Commons, residents and guests were treated to a performance by “Music With Patrick,” who took them on a musical journey through The Great American Songbook. The crowd’s applause was much deserved for Patrick, as he delivered a rendition of Orange Colored Sky by Nat King Cole, as well as a singalong to I’m a Believer by Neil Diamond. The event ended with a classical performance of New York, New York by Frank Sinatra, as attendees swayed, clapped, and sang along.

But what’s Mardi Gras without incredible food? Commons Head Chef Caleb Williams’s menu paid homage to the flavors of New Orleans. Mini King Cakes, a beloved Mardi Gras tradition, were a hit among guests, while the mini Muffuletta sandwiches, an iconic staple of New Orleans, brought some Louisiana fair to Western Pennsylvania.

Until next year—Laissez les bons temps rouler!
