St. John’s Unit Clerk Keith Bland Awarded 2025 LeadingAge PA Professional Development Scholarship

Lutheran SeniorLife is pleased to announce that Keith Bland, Unit Clerk at St. John’s in Mars, has been named a recipient of the 2025 Professional Development Scholarship from LeadingAge PA.

Keith applied for the scholarship while serving in the same role at the Advanced Care Center of Butler, before recently joining the team at St. John’s. On May 22, he was officially notified by LeadingAge PA of his selection—an honor that recognizes his strong commitment to professional development and excellence in the field of senior services.

“I was shocked and excited,” Keith shared upon receiving the news. “It was a sign that I was doing the right things.”

The Professional Development Scholarship is a competitive award offered by LeadingAge PA to support the continued education of individuals employed in aging services across the state. Bland’s selection highlights his dedication to making a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults.

Currently a junior at Grand Canyon University, Keith is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work. He plans to use the scholarship funds to help complete his degree and further his career in the field.
