Overbrook Pointe Host Annual Resident Holiday Party

Overbrook Pointe Host Annual Resident Holiday PartyThe residents at Overbrook Pointe celebrated the Christmas Epiphany also known as Three Kings’ Day with a buffet brunch. The day commemorates the revelation of God incarnate as Jesus Christ. It is celebrated on January 6th and marks the end of the 12 days of Christmas. According to the Bible, the Magi, also known as the Three Wise Men, followed a star to find the baby Jesus and brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The holiday is traditionally celebrated with special church services and the exchange of gifts. In some cultures, it is also a time to honor the visit of the Magi to the baby Jesus by having a special meal with family and friends.

With a buffet brunch, residents had many options to choose from. Brunch options included traditional and M&M’s pancakes, a scrambled egg bake, potatoes, fruit, bacon, sausage, jelly donut holes and brownies. There was even a hot chocolate, homeade lemonade and a coffee station to wash down all the delicious food.

“This brunch is a thank you to our residents,” explained Lauri Becker, Overbrook Pointe, Residential Services Coordinator. Overbrook Pointe Host Annual Resident Holiday Party“They gather as a family, catching up with each other, sharing a good time and hearing how everyone’s holiday season was.”
