LIFE Butler County and Visiting Nurses Association Workers Honored

Seven Lutheran SeniorLife employees were recently honored at the Sixth Annual Butler County Health Care Consortium, held at The Atrium in Prospect, PA. The event honored 23 local health care workers and students who exemplify excellence in care to residents, participants or patients of Butler County.

Seven Lutheran SeniorLife employees were recently honored at the Sixth Annual Butler County Health Care Consortium, held at The Atrium in Prospect, PA.Among the winners, the VNA and LIFE Butler County employees recognized by the Consortium included:

  • Julie Grooms, Intake Coordinator, LIFE Butler County
  • Kara Bartmas, RN Home Care Coordinator, LIFE Butler County
  • Darlene Deemer, Central Intake Assistant, VNA
  • Nicole Gulish, LPN, VNA
  • Tammy Heginbotham, RN, VNA Hospice
  • Janette Hensler, Manager, VNA Hospice
  • Janie McFarland, Volunteer, VNA Hospice

The honorees were nominated by their peers and supervisors for the amazing service they provide.

“VNA is always anxious to elevate staff and volunteers that exhibit commitment to their care and services performed for our organization,” stated Margie Walsh, Executive Director, VNA, Western Pennsylvania. “It is a privilege to work with such dedicated staff and they are well deserving of this recognition. All winners were treated to a breakfast, followed by a presentation of their award while being recognized on stage.
