LIFE Armstrong County Welcomes Community at Open House & Health Fair Posted on October 26, 2023November 29, 2023 On October 12, LIFE Armstrong County and the community came together for a day of building connections, learning, and fostering a stronger and healthier community at the LIFE Armstrong County Open House & Health Fair. Guest had the chance to tour the Center and explore the facility designed that is meant support their lifestyle. Various health and wellness vendors shared their expertise and services including Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) of Western Pennsylvania, Lutheran SeniorLife Silver Smart, Paralyzed Veterans of America – Keystone Chapter, HAVIN: Helping All Victims In Need, Lung & Wellness Centers of Western Pennsylvania, Aetna, and Klingensmiths Drug Stores who provided flu shots. Various vendors also offered complimentary health assessments The event included a delicious spread of food including vegetable pinwheels, bruschetta, caprese salad, apple pie sliders, pumpkin dip, and refreshing apple cider. “I would like to thank all the staff and outside vendors for attending and a special thank you to our cook, dietician and recreation department for making our first health fair/open house such a success,” said Lesley McGregor, Center Director of LIFE Armstrong County. “Thank you to all the community members that attended the event.
