First Commonwealth Bank Spreads Holiday Cheer to Older Adults in Small Homes Program

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, First Commonwealth Bank and its dedicated team of Advisors, led by Mark GaNung, Senior Vice President and Brokerage Program Executive, have extended their generosity to the LIFE (Living Independence For the Elderly) Programs across Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence counties. The focus of their goodwill efforts was creating Stockings for Seniors—a heartwarming initiative that brings joy to the lives of older adults living in “small homes” across the four counties.

The team of 30 advisors at First Commonwealth Bank worked to fill 50 stockings, creating festive surprises for participants of the LIFE Programs, residing in the small homes. These homes, designed to be handicap accessible, cater to Medicaid-eligible residents who seek to maintain an active and engaged lifestyle within their communities. The homes boast modern amenities, including appliances, an open floor plan, and a spacious great room that seamlessly connects to a well-appointed kitchen and dining area.

David Fenoglietto, CEO of Lutheran SeniorLife, expressed his appreciation for the thoughtful gesture, emphasizing the significance of the “small homes” program. Fenoglietto highlighted how this innovative model empowers qualified LIFE program participants to enjoy the comforts of a residential home while staying connected to their communities.

“The small homes program is a very unique model. The program enables qualified participants of the LIFE program to live in a new, residential home and remain active, and part of their community,” said Fenoglietto.

As the stockings find their way into the homes of older adults this holiday season, the generosity of the First Commonwealth Bank’s gesture is meant to bring smiles and festive cheer to those who call these “small homes” their own. A heartfelt thank you goes out to First Commonwealth Bank for their dedication and commitment to brightening the holidays for older adults.
