Center at the Mall Honors 61 Volunteers

The Center at the Mall recently held a luncheon honoring the contributions of 61 volunteers at the center over this past year.

According to Sarah Spanik, assistant center coordinator, these volunteers selflessly donated, beyond our expectations, 6,500 hours of service to help our senior community flourish.

The volunteers work daily to serve meals, oversee the fitness center, as well as to ensure club and group meetings run smoothly. They are also instrumental in the success of our fundraisers and special events.

The Center at the Mall is managed by Lutheran Service Society, and funded by funded by the Beaver County Office on Aging, Pennsylvania Lottery and community sponsors.

Center at the Mall is a community wellness center designed for adults over 50 who want to have fun, stay healthy, and be active. The center, located inside the Beaver Valley Mall, provides a social atmosphere where members can enjoy nutritional lunches, a state of the art fitness center, exercise classes, dance classes, computer lab, a WiFi café, group trips, entertainment, holiday celebrations and information on local services for older adults.

With over 12,000 members, Center at the Mall is the largest senior community center in Beaver County. There is no membership fee to belong to the center.
