The Center of Attention – April Center at the Mall Recap Posted on April 27, 2023October 4, 2023 Center at the Mall, located inside Beaver Valley Mall, is a community wellness center for adults over 50. Center at the Mall provides a social atmosphere where participants can enjoy nutritional lunches, a fitness center, different classes and clubs to join, a computer lab, group trips, entertainment, information on local services and much more. The month of April at Center offered participants many opportunities to learn and socialize while also recognizing the wonderful volunteers who do incredible work every day so older adults in Beaver County can enjoy their own abundant lives. One of the popular clubs is the Garden Club, who held their first meeting of the year. There was a big turnout and participants shared knowledge and love of gardening with each other. The month also featured the Pinochle Club meeting for their exciting card game, as well as participants playing bingo, chair volleyball and partaking in the class, Fitness Center Flexing. The highlight of the month was the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, with all proceeds going to help support the Centers programs and activities. “Thank you to all who attended and especially to all of our volunteers,” said their most recent newsletter. “This event is only possible with all of your hard work and dedication.”
