LIFE Lawrence County Receives Generous Donation from GNC Federal Credit Union

LIFE Lawrence County recently received a generous contribution of $3,133.08 from GNC Community Federal Credit Union, a donation that reflects not only corporate goodwill but also a heartfelt connection to the mission of helping older adults age with dignity and independence.

This act of generosity was made even more meaningful by the personal story behind it. Cherie Sabino, Loan Manager at GNC Community Federal Credit Union, shared how her own family has been touched by LIFE Lawrence County’s services:

“My mother has been a participant of LIFE Lawrence County for almost two years, which has allowed her to stay in her home when my family and I had thought the only alternative for her was a nursing home. I am so grateful to LIFE and also to my employer, GNC Community Federal Credit Union, who supported my fundraising efforts for this worthy cause.”

The funds were raised through GNC Federal Credit Union’s internal fundraising initiatives and reflect the organization’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community.

The check was proudly accepted during a recent visit by Brooke Quinn, Riley Stutz, Cherie Sabino, and Lisa Scheidemantle, LIFE Lawrence County’s Recreation Therapy Manager.

This contribution will directly support programming and services that allow older adults in Lawrence County to remain safely in their homes with access to medical care, social support, and daily living assistance.
