Honoring the Remarkable Dedication of Lutheran SeniorLife Nurses

To the nurses of Lutheran SeniorLife, we extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation. Your passion, resilience, and unwavering commitment to excellence are a testament to the noble profession you have chosen.

Thank you for embodying the spirit of compassion and for making a lasting impact on the lives of those you serve. Your dedication inspires us all to strive for greatness and to continue the legacy of nursing excellence.

In celebration of Nursing Week, it is with great joy and admiration that we take this opportunity to thank you for your services.  No matter the challenge or time of year, these compassionate healthcare professionals demonstrate their dedication to providing exceptional care to our communities.

Throughout Nursing Week, Lutheran SeniorLife held numerous events and celebrations honoring nurses including LIFE, Visiting Nurses Association, Advance Care Center, Passavant and St. John communities.

LIFE

The team of nurses at the LIFE Centers in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver, and Lawrence counties go above and beyond to care for participants.

“The nurses of the LIFE centers are the glue that hold everything together. They are the frontline heroes in their community who provide compassionate care and are invaluable to the success of the participant’s health,” explained Leslie Kisow, Executive Director, Community and LIFE programs. “They set goals for participant’s through their expertise to keep them healthy and living safely in their homes. I want to extend my deepest and most sincere thanks to each and every single nurse.”

Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) and Advanced Care Center of Butler (ACC)

The VNA and ACC nurses provide an unwavering commitment to exceptional care, healing, and support. Their contributions make a difference every day and their expertise and knowledge are instrumental in helping so many lives, comforting families, and bringing hope to those in need. With heartfelt gratitude and appreciation, thank you for the extraordinary dedication, compassion, and selflessness that you bring to your profession every day.

Passavant Community

At Passavant Community, nurses were honored with a day of recognition and thanks. There were cakes, tacos, pizza and countless praises of thanks from staff and residents.

“Our nurses have gone above and beyond during unprecedented times. COVID was a big impact on our community and the nurses and staff worked with our residents to give them a safe life,” said Elizabeth J. Garrett, Associate Director at Passavant Community. “Our nurses’ passion for providing the best centralized care begins from loving and seeing the person they are caring for. We truly have the best group of nurses the residents could ask for.”

St. John Community

The nurses of St. John Community are more than just medical professionals. They help create an environment where laughter and joy thrive while fostering a sense of community among the residents. The nurses often help celebrate resident birthdays, encourage hobbies and passions, while also ensuring that each resident receives the personalized care they need.

To thank them for their commitment, each day during Nurses week featured a special treat or day of fun. There was a catered lunch, a day that featured ice cream cones, snow cones on a hot and even a special scavenger hunt to add some additional fun to their day.

“I am grateful for the dedication and passion our nurses bring to work each day,” said Sam Rapuk, executive director of St. John Community. “Their commitment to providing exceptional care to our residents is truly inspiring. They go above and beyond, and their tireless efforts make a profound difference in the lives of those we serve. Thank you for always working towards the Lutheran SeniorLife mission of providing health, wellness and compassionate care to our community.”
