RoseCrest Employees Receive Keystone Awards from State Association

Congratulations to three RoseCrest employees for being named recipients of two Keystone Awards by the Pennsylvania Assisted Living Association (PALA).

Shari Dillon, abundant life coordinator, and Viki Nulph, activity associate, received the Residence Best Practices Award.  This award recognizes personal care and assisted living communities who create innovative programs or unique approaches to provide the best services possible to its residents, employees, guests and local community.

Cindy Beahm, LPN, healthcare coordinator, received the Outstanding Nurse Caregiver Award which recognizes an LPN or RN who demonstrates leadership, provides quality person-centered care and clinical expertise.

Margie Zelenak, PALA’s executive director and Julie Alakson, PALA board member, visited RoseCrest to present all three ladies with a plaque, a certificate and a gift card on November 4.

Zelenak stated, “These ladies represent exactly what we want to see, and it is our hope that others take notice and emulate their unique styles and ideas. By winning they have shown they are leaders in the industry.”

If you talk to any of these ladies, they will tell you they love their jobs, their residents and their coworkers, and that they have fun every day.  Debbie Serafine, their supervisor and RoseCrest’s director of residential living nominated them for the awards.

She stated, “Each of these ladies work so hard to make a difference in the lives of our residents.  I am honored to work with them and incredibly proud of their accomplishments.”
