A Christmas Tradition at The Commons Posted on December 19, 2024December 23, 2024 In a celebration of community and joy, residents of The Commons at Stonebrook Village gathered for their highly anticipated annual Christmas Party. It’s a time for sharing laughs, swapping stories, and enjoying a hearty holiday meal together. Commons Head Chef, Caleb Williams, prepared the culinary feast, which began with a delicious shrimp bisque, followed by an entrée of savory ham and a quiche accompanied by roasted brown butter carrots. Residents were also treated to pastries, cake, and an array of cookies, including two trays of homemade cookies lovingly baked by 90-year-old Shirley Bennett, a long-time Commons worker. “The beauty of this event lies in more than just the incredible food—it’s about the residents coming together, sharing a meal, and making memories,” said Doug Smith, Manager of The Commons. “There’s a magic in these moments that captures the heart of our community.” As Christmas music played softly in the background and conversations flowed, the party once again proved to be a highlight of the year. With every bite and every laugh shared, the residents of The Commons celebrated the season in the best way possible—together.
