Shell Donates $3,150 to Ensure Beaver County Seniors Are Fed Posted on June 1, 2020June 11, 2020 ROCHESTER Pa. – Shell Chemical Appalachia, LLC presented Beaver County Meals on Wheels with a $3,150 check on May 29. The contribution transpired after a call to Meals on Wheels regarding the program’s operations and will aid in the delivery of essential meals to seniors throughout Beaver County. “Shell’s representative was impressed with our product offering, the fact that we focused on elderly shut-ins and that we covered all of Beaver County,” said Manager of Beaver County Meals on Wheels, Michael Dengel. “When they asked how Shell could help, we suggested a financial donation be directed to food products for our clients.” Meals on Wheels currently utilizes volunteers and donations to deliver proper nutrition to Beaver County seniors who are unable to grocery shop or prepare meals on their own. As a result, 185 older adults received 34,680 nutritious meals throughout Beaver County last year.
