Lutheran SeniorLife Employees Honored for Excellence at Armstrong County Health Care Awards Breakfast

Today, the Armstrong County Health Care Consortium hosted its annual Health Care Recognition Awards breakfast, celebrating outstanding professionals who have significantly contributed to the local health care sector. Lutheran SeniorLife team members from LIFE Armstrong County and the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) were among those recognized for their dedication and exceptional service to the community.

LIFE Armstrong County Honorees The LIFE Armstrong County program recognized five remarkable team members for their contributions:

  • Mikayla Goepfert, Driver: Honored for her reliable and compassionate transportation services, ensuring community members have access to essential health care.
  • Leah Buck, Administrative Assistant: Celebrated for her exceptional organizational support and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Ginger Shaffer, Cook: Commended for her thoughtful and nourishing meal preparation, bringing comfort and sustenance to those in need.
  • Teresa Geidel, RN Case Manager: Acknowledged for her unwavering commitment to patient well-being and expert management of complex care plans.
  • Crystal Hankey, Caregiver: Praised for her tireless empathy and dedication to personal care, fostering dignity and trust among patients.

 

VNA Award Recipients The Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) of Armstrong County celebrated four exemplary professionals for their exceptional work in home health and hospice care:

  • Deb Manzi, Rehab Supervisor and Physical Therapist: Recognized for her leadership and expertise in rehabilitative care, aiding patients regain independence and mobility.
  • Autumn Sperski, LPN, Intake Coordinator: Commended for her pivotal role in coordinating patient intake, ensuring seamless transitions and comprehensive care.
  • Gretchen Kutch, RN, VNA Home Health: Celebrated for her compassionate and proficient nursing care, providing essential support to patients in their homes.
  • Rhonda McKenzie-Troup, Aide for Home Health and Hospice: Honored for her attentive and kind care, enhancing the quality of life for patients during their most vulnerable moments.

Attendees enjoyed a warm and welcoming breakfast before the formal recognition commenced. Each award recipient received an engraved clock, symbolizing their invaluable commitment and tireless dedication to patient care.
