Visiting Nurses Association, Western Pennsylvania Receives $30,000 Grant from the Sedwick Foundation to Support Technology Upgrades

Butler, PA – The Visiting Nurses Association (VNA), Western Pennsylvania, is pleased to announce the receipt of a $30,000 grant from the Sedwick Charitable Foundation to fund essential technology upgrades that will enhance the organization’s ability to deliver high-quality home health and hospice care.

“This generous support from the Sedwick Foundation means so much to all of us at VNA,” said Margie Walsh, VNA Executive Director. “These technology enhancements will help our clinical team provide even more efficient, coordinated, and patient-centered care to individuals throughout our region.”

The grant will support the modernization of the VNA’s digital systems, including improvements to patient documentation tools, mobile technology for in-home care providers, and communication platforms that connect caregivers, patients, and families.

Representing the Sedwick Charitable Foundation at the check presentation were Allen Hassler, General Manager, Zelienople, and John Mauthe, General Manager, Butler. Accepting the grant on behalf of the VNA were Executive Director Margie Walsh and Associate Director Suzanne Grove.

“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the Sedwick Foundation for their generous support of our 60th Anniversary Campaign,” said Walsh. “This donation means so much to our organization. It will allow us to enhance how we deliver care—through new programs, improved technology, and more coordinated support for the people we serve. We are deeply humbled by this gift and energized by the opportunity it brings to further our mission.”

The contribution was made in partnership with Armstrong, whose Armstrong Community Marketing Manager, Seth Prentice, shared:
