Dining Services - Production Assistant

The Production Assistant in Dining prepares all salads, baked goods and put away dry stock. Helps maintain cooler/freezer stock and sanitation and assists the cook in meal production as assigned. 

Therapy Support Technician - LIFE Beaver Program

The Lutheran Senior Life, LIFE Beaver Program, is seeking a Therapy Support Technician for a temporary assignment. The Therapy Support Technician provides assistance to Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathology Therapists with the therapy of specific client care activities. Therapy Support Technician Responsibilities-Coordinates department schedule and assists in transportation and preparation of participants for treatment.  Prepares and maintains the clinical treatment areas and equipment according to established procedures of safety and infection control.  Maintains statistical logs and performs data entry for billing. Performs clerical tasks including copying, filing, and inventory. Therapy Support Technician requirements, high School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Nurse Aide Certification preferred.

The LIFE Programs are growing! We are seeking three full-time Physical Therapists to join our team.  The LIFE Programs provide a unique practice setting for therapists, in a respectful environment. Think nursing home without walls; therapies based on need and not just numbers. We do require a minimum of 1 year skilled nursing and/or home health experience. Some local travel is required. We are currently seeking several LPNs to be responsible for providing care at our Lawrence County location and in participants’ homes by implementing the nursing care plan and ensuring high quality care. Main duties will also include administering medications and treatments. The positions require current LPN license in PA, 2 years of experience providing care/service to the geriatric population, working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes and excellent computer and communication skills.

Transportation Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities include assuring the safe and efficient transportation of participants in a timely, competent manner, and communicating important information the multidisciplinary team. Position requires daily coordinating and scheduling of participants in Beaver County to and from Day Center, appointments, tests, and outings. Other responsibilities include driving the van, scheduling appointments, van maintenance, record keeping, and other duties as assigned. High school diploma or GED required. Three years’ experience driving handicap vans, and experience with complex scheduling.  Must have extensive knowledge of the Beaver County road system. One year of experience with the geriatric population. Must be detailed oriented and possess the ability to prioritize assignments. Must have computer experience and excellent organizational, writing, and oral communication skills. Must be flexible.

Lutheran SeniorLife is seeking a full-time Construction Project Specialist to plan, direct, coordinate and implement construction and renovation activities for the Lutheran SeniorLife system. This position will, under the direction of the Director of Construction and Facilities management, be responsible for designated capital improvement projects to ensure that goals and objectives of the projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frames and funding parameters. The Construction Project Specialist will complete the assigned projects by performing the following duties personally, or by directing teams of qualified employees and/or outside contractors. Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school; and 3 years’ construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Driver’s License.

Assisted Living Administrator/Director of Residential Living

St. John Community, part of Lutheran SeniorLife, is seeking a full -time assisted living administrator to fill the role of Director of Residential Living for the community. This position is responsible for overseeing operations of our 30 bed assisted living residence for those with memory impairment as well as our 53-unit independent living apartment building on the St. John campus. Qualified applicants must have experience and a passion for working with residents with memory impairment, strong leadership  and organizational skills and strong customer relations skills. A Personal Care or Assisted Living Administrator certificate and prior experience in managing a personal care or assisted living residence is required. Recreation Manager - LIFE Armstrong County

Planning, supervision, and implementation of recreational programs for the elderly, as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing all-inclusive care. Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in Recreation Therapy or a related field from a four (4) year college or university; one (1) or two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and training. Minimum 2 years experience in social or recreational program, providing and coordinating services for a frail or elderly population and one year of management experience. CTRS preferred.
