Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruiter)

Lutheran SeniorLife is accepting resumes for a Recruiter, working in Mars, PA. The Recruiter is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates to work at various locations within Lutheran SeniorLifes’ growing communities. This will include recruiting nurses, certified nurse assistants, students for the nurse aide training program, etc., through advertising, job fairs, relationship building with recruitment resources and in-house recruitment. The Recruiter will also collect and analyze HR Recruitment data. Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in recruiting, interviewing and project management. Knowledge of Human Resources law, concepts, practices, and procedures.

Coordinator, Ministry Health & Wellness

Schedule: Working out of the Synod Office in McCandless Township

Location: Lutheran SeniorLife Corporate

Serves as the primary ambassador of the Health & Wellness Ministry initiative of the Southwestern PA. Synod of the Evangelical Church in America. The coordinator will be the primary point of contact for pastors and congregation members who are seeking support and direction for the purpose of developing wellness programs, health-related initiatives and/or parish nurse program. Helps congregations identify necessary resources to support such initiatives, develop training programs for volunteer staff and serve as a liaison among congregations, pastors, and the synod office. Also works to keep pastors, congregation members and community at large aware of Lutheran SeniorLife community-based programs and services. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from 4 year college or university.  Awareness of Lutheran theology, theology, pastoral ministry, spirituality, and holistic approaches to healthcare is highly desirable. Minimum of five years’ experience in community health, home health nursing, or medical coordination preferred. Experience in teaching and health counseling, knowledge of a variety of nursing areas as well as community resources and practice with computer programs. Experience in marketing, relationship development, referral development and program coordination required. Candidate must have demonstrated 5 years of related case management experience in an applicable health care setting.

Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant at LIFE Beaver Adult Day Center will be responsible for all administrative needs of the Center including job tasks assigned by the Center Director. Customer Service duties include operating the central phone lines at the Center, welcoming guests and customers in a positive manner. The Administrative Assistant will interact cooperatively with all staff and ensure positive communication and interaction in person or on the phone. Medical Records Clerk

Location: St. John Specialty Care Center

Maintains the medical records of residents/patients in accordance with all State and Federal regulations and JHACO requirements. Manages and coordinates the facilities medical record processes. Compiles and maintains the medical records of residents/patients by documenting the condition and treatments for residents/patients. Requires an Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or combiniation of education and experience.

Coordinator, Foundation

Assistant to the Vice President, Foundation. Provides information, manangement support, and cooperation with other departments for the Foundation. Represents Foundation Vice President to others. Drafts correspondence. Provides administrative support to the Lutheran SeniorLife Foundation Board of Directors. Responsible for fund-raising data base including gift processing, queries, reports, problem-solving and communication with vendor. Works with the Finance and Accounting to reconcile funds raised, release funds, process payments. Interacts with auditors.  Supervises office volunteers. Coordinates multiple mailings and is responsible for coordination and logistics for meetings and seminars; has critical administrative role in coordination of Gala and other events.  Confidential position with no tolerance for breach of confidentiality. Requires an Associates Degree or equivalent and 2 years related experience and/or training; Bachelor’s degree or other post-secondary education desirable. Development office experience and extensive knowledge of and experience working with Raiser’s Edge fund-raising data base is highly preferred.

Data Communications Technician

The Data Communication Technician performs maintenance and maintains, repairs, installs and conducts preventive maintenance of all technology equipment and communication systems used for building systems and day to day operations through the Passavant Community. Performs oversight of the day to day operations and maintenance of systems throughout the campus. High School diploma or GED required. One (1) to two (2) years formal training in a related field such is preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent experience and education preferred. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring and control schematics, and systems operations manuals as related to data/communications.

Electrical Technician

Job Type: Full-Time

The Electrical Technician performs installations, repairs, testing, diagnosing and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment of the normal and emergency power systems for the residential and commercial equipment and services to ensure continuous service that is reliable, efficient and effective for a safe environment for the Passavant Community. High School diploma or GED is required. One (1) to two (2) years formal training in a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent experience and education. Demonstrated ability to to read and interpret blueprints, wiring and control schematics, and systems operations manuals. Knowledge of tools and test equipment necessary to trouble shoot and diagnose a wide variety of electrical problems and assess operating integrity of electrical systems and equipment. We are looking for Household Assistants  who will help residents live an Abundant Life®.  The Household Assistant provides for and prepares meals for the residents’ dietary needs. The Household Assistant also cleans their work area and the resident household rooms and common areas. High school graduate or GED required. The Household Assistant along with all team members will go through self-led team training. Household Assistant training will include completion of cross training as assigned for homemaking, household activities, housekeeping and household laundry, food service and food handling (ServSafe).
