LPN

We are currently seeking several LPNs to be responsible for providing care at our Butler County location and in participants’ homes by implementing the nursing care plan and ensuring high quality care. Main duties will also include administering medications and treatments. The positions require current LPN license in PA, 2 years of experience providing care/service to the geriatric population, working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes and excellent computer and communication skills.

Production Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: St. John Specialty Care Center

The production assistant prepares all starches, vegetables, soups, salads and/or baked goods. These food items are served to residents, staff, plus for all special functions. Qualified applicant needs a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 months to a year of experience. Ability to read and follow quantity recipes in regard to weights and measurements of ingredients. Must possess knowledge of portion control and kitchen equipment. We offer a competitive rate of pay.

Health Care Coordinator (LPN)

St. John Community, part of Lutheran SeniorLife, is seeking a full time Health Care Coordinator for its 24-bed personal care facility.   Responsibilities include the clinical oversight and management of resident care for the facility including resident assessments, coordination of health care needs, training and supervision of direct care staff, regulatory compliance and customer relations. Qualified applicants will be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of PA and a minimum of two years of experience in the medical field with experience working with seniors and possess strong organizational skills. Production Assistant

Location: Passavant Community

The Production Assistant prepares all salads, baked goods and put away dry stock. Helps maintain cooler/freezer stock and sanitation and assists the cook in meal production as assigned. 

Dining Service Assistant

Location: Passavant Community

The Dining Service Assistant combines a variety of job functions to assist in the daily operations of the Dining Department. The Assistant is responsible for the set-up/sanitation of all meals to residents and visitors and for special functions in some/all of the following capacities: dishwashing, pot/pan processing, resident and visitor meal services, snack shop, sanitation and nourishment preparations. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess demonstrated knowledge of portion control, kitchen equipment and general knowledge of therapeutic diets. The ability to read and follow quantity recipes in regard to weights and measurement of ingredients.

Medical Office Assistant

Job Type: Part-Time Eligible

Location: Passavant Community

Enhances the Abundant Life of Elders by providing support with medical and clerical functions in the Passavant Clinic. Completes routine direct and indirect clerical and medical functions according to established policies and procedures including greeting clinic visitors, transcribing physician orders, scheduling appointments, etc. Maintains the rights, privacy and confidentiality of elders, medical staff and employees according to the Lutheran Senior Life Code of Conduct including areas of technology. Supports and maintains the Clinic in an orderly manner.

High school diploma or GED. One year certificate from college or technical school, 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good verbal/written communication skills with ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries/complaints. CPR certification required. Good analytical/mathematical aptitude. Computer literate.

Accounts Payable Specialist

Lutheran Senior Life is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist for the administrative office located in Cranberry Twp.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will prepare voucher packages and payments to ensure timely and accurate processing. Responsibilities include analyzing invoices and accurately match them to purchase orders, ensure accurate general ledger coding, work with outside vendors, Materials Management, Central Supply and department managers to resolve disputes and ensure uninterrupted service. Monitor and analyze open purchase orders and recurring monthly purchase orders. Provide accounts payable accruals to ensure timely and accurate monthly closing. Assists with weekly check runs including the distribution of vendor/employee checks, the preparation and distribution of the 1099’s to vendors and to the state and federal government agencies, and preparation and distribution of the annual budget process. Must have Associates Degree or equivalent; or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nutrition Support Technician

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: LIFE Lawrence County

Coordinates the activities of the kitchen for participants, staff, visitors, volunteers and special functions. Responsible for all activities related to menus, adherence to diet orders, delivery and serving of all meals and snacks, and set up and clean up. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Certification from completed dietary course preferred.  At least one year experience in health care food service. Must possess knowledge of portion control, kitchen equipment, and have working knowledge of therapeutic diets.

Clinical Dietitian

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Viecare

Assists in the provision of food service and nutritional programs within the LIFE Center. Completes nutritional assessments, develops care plans and assures participant’s needs are met through high quality nutritional meals and services. Assists with the management of the Nutritional Services Department in the absence of the director of Nutritional Services.  Four year degree from college or university; and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training in a long-term care setting preferred. Must be “Registered” or RD eligible and LDN or LDN eligible. At least one year experience with a frail or elderly population. Will be based at LIFE Lawrence County with travel to Beaver and Butler County periodically.

Transportation Coordinator

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: LIFE Beaver County

This position is responsible for assuring the safe and efficient transportation of participants in a timely, competent manner and communicating important information to the transportation manager. Position also includes extensive scheduling, van maintenance, operation (driving), training and record keeping. One (1) year experience driving handicap vans. Experience with complex scheduling. One year experience working with the elderly.
