Resident Coordinator (Non Certified Caregiver)

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Afternoon Shift: 3 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. and Night Shift: 11 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

Location: Passavant Community

The Resident Coordinator will assist residents with their activities of daily living; including dressing, bathing, toileting, medication assistance, dining assistance, light housekeeping and personal laundry. In this position, you will help residents live abundant lives and help them maintain their maximum potential in a beautiful, home-like environment. To qualify, you must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Prior experience is not necessary, but the passion to help is.

Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: St. John Specialty Care Center

The RNAC Manager is responsible for the daily operation and supervision of the RNACs and Restorative Aides, including management of the Resident Assessment Instrument and Minimum Data Set process including, but not limited to, ensuring the accurate and timely completion and electronic submission of the required data, auditing documents to ensure accuracy of the data submitted, coordination of the interdisciplinary team for development and implementation of care plans, assessment of residents’ conditions to ensure proper documentation and Medicare/Medical Assistance benefit utilization. Also responsible for tracking and reporting information on all resident for performance improvement and fiscal accountability.

Materials Management Specialist

We are currently seeking a full-time Materials Management Specialist to support the Materials Management department. This position will be responsible for compiling information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of material, and maintains an accurate computerized inventory/resident ancillary charge system. Also, responsible for organizing and tracking the vendor compliance process. This position is largely self-supervised, requires initiative, discretion, attention to detail, good judgment, and good communication skills. This position requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal purchasing or accounting training desired. Strong working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Microsoft Project.  Previous administrative background strongly preferred.

Clinical Coordinator (RN)

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: 2:45 p.m. – 11:15 p.m. / 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. Every other weekend.

Location: Passavant Community

We are seeking a full-time Clinical Coordinator to direct resident care of the Passavant campus in areas of nursing, personal care and independent living. The Clinical Coordinator responds to resident emergency system calls for independent living and personal care residents. Provides nursing care, as well as leadership and supervisory oversight of staff/charge nurses, nurse aides, and resident coordinators. Conducts rounds and distributes and receives reports from the DON team, Healthcare Coordinators, and staff and charge nurses. Ensures that nursing policies are followed in regard to quality of care, safety, and infection control guidelines are maintained.

Dining Services Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Passavant Community

Supervise and coordinate the overall direction/activities of dining services staff for residents, staff, visitors, and special functions. Responsible for productivity, efficiency, scheduling and disciplinary action of staff; while complying with Company and departmental policy and procedure, regulatory agency requirements. Responsible for department operations in absence of the Director of Dining Services or Chef. Requires High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Certification from completed Dietary Managers course preferred. At least two years experience in health care food service. Must possess knowledge of portion control, kitchen equipment and have working knowledge of therapeutic diets.

Electrical Technician

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Passavant Community

The Electrical Technician performs installations, repairs, testing, diagnosing and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment of the normal and emergency power systems for the residential and commercial equipment and services to ensure continuous service that is reliable, efficient and effective for a safe environment for the community. The Electrical Technician installs, repairs and maintains electrical systems and equipment including motors, transformers, lighting, controls, lighting appliances, breaker panels and circuits in compliance with all associate building and electrical code requirements. This position also provides maintenance support for the campus and performs snow removal. High school graduate or GED required.  One to two years formal training in related field preferred. Minimum 3 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent experience and education. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring and control schematics and system operation manuals.

Corporate Manager Residential Communities and Services

The Corporate Manager of Residential Communities plans and coordinates the management of Samaritan, Timon, and Lutheran Service Society residential communities, as well as all HUD properties, and participates in the development and management of future residential communities. This position is also responsible for compliance of applicable regulatory requirements including HUD properties, Pennsylvania Condominium Law and the Housing of Older Persons Act of 1995. This position requires a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from 4 year college or university preferred and 3 years’ experience or 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training. This position requires an Assisted Housing Manager Certification or 3 years HUD experience and the availability to sit for and pass the next scheduled exam. Current State Driver’s license (in good standing).

Home Care Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: LIFE Lawrence County

Responsibilities include performing basic household duties to assist participants to maintain an environment consistent with their needs. Provides for needs in the home and assists participants with activities such as bed making, changing linens, grocery shopping, light cleaning and light meal preparation, and trash disposal.  May also be assigned to work in the Center as needed. High school diploma or GED. One year experience with the geriatric population. Must be able to work with culturally, economically, and educationally diverse populations and form positive interpersonal relations in dealing with a wide range of staff and participants. Must have a valid PA Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Lutheran SeniorLife is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist for the LIFE Programs. This position will cover the LIFE Butler and LIFE Armstrong offices. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for organizing and supporting Human Resources activities, such as recruitment, employment, employee relations, training, performance appraisal, HRIS, personnel records, compensation management, benefits administration, and organization development.  Familiar with a variety of HR concepts, practices and procedures. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Personnel or Labor Relations and 3 to 5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Human Resources law, concepts, practices, and procedures. Local travel between Lutheran SeniorLife locations, especially the LIFE Butler and LIFE Armstrong offices will be required. 

Medical Records Coordinator

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: LIFE Beaver County

Coordinates the medical record process to compile and maintain the medical records of participants. Requires an associate degree or equivalent  from 2 year college or technical school, at least one year related experience and training, or equivalent combiniation of education and experience. Must have working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and HIPPA regulations and at least one year of medical records coding experience required. RHIT(Registered Health Information Technician) certification preferred.
