Database Administrator, Foundation

Job Type: Part-Time

The Lutheran SeniorLife Foundation is seeking a part-time Database Administrator for administration and management of the Raiser’s Edge fundraising software database, donor file management and documentation for the Lutheran SeniorLife Foundation. This position will be responsible for data integrity, security and configuration, and will manage the complete database, will perform data entry related to fundraising, and will produce routine and special queries and reports that support Foundation operations, business analytics and prospect management. This role will serve as the liaison with software vendors. Enhances operations and efficiency through data management. The incumbent also serves as an integral part of the fundraising team to provide in-person support at fundraising events. Bachelor’s degree or other post-secondary education or commensurate Development experience. Previous Raiser’s Edge or database management experience preferred.

Clinical Applications Manager

Lutheran Senior Life is seeking a full-time Clinical Applications Manager to integrate nursing science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, and knowledge in nursing practice.  Facilitates the evaluation, selection, and implementation of clinical systems (i.e. EMR, eTAR, ePrescribing, MDS, etc.). Works with staff and physicians to optimize the usage of clinical systems through education and training, quality outcomes, and providing support in accordance with organizational goals. This position will serve as a liaison in system initiatives to all patient care disciplines and the IT department as it relates to clinical information systems. Current license as registered nurse in the state of Pennsylvania. Degree in Informatics would be beneficial. Minimum of five years’ experience in nursing – Post-Acute Care/Skilled Nursing experience preferred.  Certification in Nursing Informatics preferred.  Strong clinical nursing knowledge and background. Solid competency in computer skills.  Advanced knowledge and proficiency in applying the nursing process, teaching, and systems management.  Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to include the use of computer technology in program presentations and/or data analysis. Ability to be self-directed, with minimum supervision, and detail oriented. Previous management experience. Travel to Lutheran SeniorLife locations required.

 

Resident Assistant (C.N.A.)

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule:  Evening 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. and/or Night Shift: 10:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

The Resident Assistant (certified caregiver) provides residents with assistance in Activities of Daily Living. Responsibilities include the primary physical care, safety and emotional well-being of residents. Current PA certification required.

The Activities Assistant works under supervision with general exercise of independent judgment in the planning, coordinating, and implementing of a comprehensive multi-level recreation program to meet the needs of participants. Adheres to administrative and departmental policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, health and confidentiality. Transportation Manager

Responsible for the coordination and supervision of all transportation needs for the LIFE‐Program, including the safe and efficient transportation of participants in a timely, competent manner and communicating important information relevant to the overall care plan to the inner disciplinary team. Requires daily coordinating and scheduling of participants in the LIFE Program to and from Day Health Center, appointments, van maintenance, maintenance of repair/compliance files for vehicles, operation (driving), record keeping and all aspects of transportation and employee supervision. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One (1) to three (3) years’ experience with handicap vans. Experience with complex scheduling. At least one year experience with a frail or elderly population. At least one year management experience.

Director of Development - Community Services - Lutheran SeniorLife Zelienople

The Foundation of Lutheran SeniorLife is seeking a full-time candidate for Director of Development, Community Services. This position is responsible for fundraising evaluation and budget forecasts for community services. Develops and implements the fundraising strategies, plan and tactics to generate restricted and unrestricted support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government programs for Lutheran SeniorLife programs that provide essential community-based health and wellness services for older adults. The incumbent is an essential part of the fundraising team and works in conjunction with the Lutheran SeniorLife Foundation President and with executive directors of the provider programs, and leadership volunteers to develop and implement the plan.  Places high priority and effort on major gift support. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field. Five or more years of management experience.  Five year minimum of demonstrated fundraising success. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred. Travel required. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. 

Physical Therapy Assistant

Lutheran SeniorLife is seeking two full-time positions for Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA). The PTA assists the Physical Therapist in providing quality Physical Therapy services including resident/patient/client treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in an interdisciplinary environment at Lutheran SeniorLife Facilities/Agencies as assigned.  One position’s primary assignment is at LIFE Lawrence center with occasional home visits.  The second position’s primary assignment is providing Home Health visits for VNA in Butler and Lawrence counties. Travel is required for Home Health visits, additionally occasional travel to other Lutheran SeniorLife sites is required. This position requires an Associate's degree (A.A.) from an accredited PTA program. One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current PA license as Physical Therapist Assistant. Certificate for indirect supervision required. Current CPR certification.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Lutheran SeniorLife is seeking a full time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide services in the LIFE Lawrence center, as well as some home visits. The COTA assists the Occupational Therapy department in providing quality Occupational Therapy services including resident/patient/client treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in an interdisciplinary environment at Lutheran SeniorLife Facilities/Agencies as assigned.   Primary assignment is LIFE Lawrence center with some home visits. Travel required for home care, occasional travel to other Lutheran Senior Life sites is required. This position requires an Associate's degree (A.A.) from an accredited COTA program, a current PA license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, One year of experience required, Current CPR certification. 

Community Life Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Shifts may vary – Weekend work required

Location: Passavant Community

The Community Life Specialist organizes and implement individual and group activities and special programs. Acts as a community resource contact to organize and supervise outside groups and entertainment. Establishes appropriate goals for individual residents. Attends and participates in resident care planning. Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university and one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination. 

Exercise Specialist I (Entry Level)

Job Type: Full-Time

The Exercise Specialist I is responsible for instructing individuals and teaching group exercise classes designed to meet the needs and requests of residents and/or clients. Work under the director of the Wellness Coordinator with general exercise of independent judgment in the safe involvement of staff and general community. Assists in the day-to-day operations of the wellness program and develop educational displays and handouts to promote health lifestyles.

High school education or equivalent. One year certificate from college or technical school. Three to six months of related and/or training. Experience in physical enhancement programs a plus. CPR and First Aid training required. Must maintain all relevant certification.
