U.S. News Rates Passavant Community Best Nursing Home for 2020-21 Posted on November 18, 2020December 7, 2020 Lutheran SeniorLife’s Passavant Community senior living campus was listed as a top-performing facility in U.S. News & World’s Report’s 2020-21 list of Best Nursing Homes on October 27. More than 15,000 nursing homes were evaluated nationwide in the media company’s eleventh-year findings to help patients, families and caregivers find the best available care for themselves or loved ones throughout 2021. New this year, U.S. News & World Report updated nursing home profiles with patient safety summaries to transmit information about selecting a facility amidst the pandemic. This information specifically highlighted coronavirus (COVID-19) data so public researchers could make more informed decisions based on patient safety. Approximately 8% of nursing homes studied were specified as top-performing facilities in the category of long-term care for 2020-21. Similarly, only 2,362 facilities out of 14,126 scored high in the area of short-term care. Passavant Community received high-performance ratings in both categories.
