Alzheimer's Care Program

St. John Specialty Care Center's Alzheimer's care program was developed to meet the needs of individual residents at various stages of Alzheimer's disease:

Intermediate Care Program - various treatments, designed to expand environmental and therapeutic support, are used to help  residents who become increasingly confused and frustrated due to the disease.

Comprehensive Care Program - this is the best approach for residents when their increasingly complex conditions require enhanced medical treatment and physical therapy.

Our professional staff maintains their knowledge of and relationships with our residents throughout their stay with us. The continuity and personal knowledge of the residents is an important benefit in their level of care and contributes to the resident's overall well-being.

Sub-Acute Care

Sub-acute care is comprehensive inpatient care designed for someone with an acute illness, injury or exacerbation of a disease process. A skilled, multi-disciplinary team including physicians, specialists and family members, develop and implement a goal-oriented treatment plan to ensure that the delivery of care is most effective and results in the best possible outcome. This plan may include, but is not limited to, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

Short Term Rehabilitation

Our rehabilitation team works to bridge the transition from the hospital to the home and community. The emphasis of our program is on restoration of mobility and achievements, so that the individual can return to living an Abundant LifeSM as quickly as possible.
