Living Independence For the Elderly (LIFE) helps low-income seniors live safely in their homes, while getting access to the medical, social and rehabilitation services they need. Offered in four counties, the program provides care in-home and at our convenient centers. Fees are based on the participant’s finances. Services include:

To help keep eligible seniors healthy, safe and living in their own homes, we offer the Meals on Wheels program. Trained volunteers deliver meals, as well as a friendly smile and a safety check. If you’re a family that is interested in adopting or fostering a child, you can find the help you need through the Lutheran Service Society. With 80 years of experience in western Pennsylvania, this organization is licensed and ready to support you in your journey of adopting domestic infants, older American children, children with special needs and international children. SilverSmartTM is all about seniors utilizing technology to remain independent, safe, healthy, connected and active.
The technology products, devices and systems displayed in the Technology Center at Passavant Community target common concerns associated with the aging process and offer solutions, providing peace of mind to loved ones and caregivers.
Upon visiting the center, the specific needs of the senior are reviewed, as well as their current comfort level with technology. Visitors can interact with different devices to be sure they are comfortable.
