The Dining Services Department at Passavant Community has been named the Regional Account of the Year by Morrison Senior Living, food provider for Lutheran Senior Life. The award is given to the senior living community which demonstrates the highest level of excellence each year.

For their efforts, the department received two $500 Visa gift cards to use as they would like.

Morrison District Manager Sue Lantzsch said that Passavant Community is especially deserving of the award this year for facing the challenge of closing down the kitchen in Olde Main and opening a new kitchen, eight households and three new dining venues in the new Abundant Life Center.

“This was a huge change for the Dining Services Department,” she said. “And all of this was done while they also received a high client survey score and two perfect state survey scores.”

Dave Tofanelli, dining services manager, gladly accepted the award and thanked his staff for their hard work. “Everyone always presses the bar higher and does their best,” he said. “This award is well-deserved.”
