LIFE Beaver County will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a community open house.
The event will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 14 at the day center in the CenterPlace Plaza, 131 Pleasant Drive, Center Township.
Festivities will include refreshments, tours of the center, giveaways and opportunities to meet LIFE’s staff. LIFE Beaver County celebrated its 10th anniversary on March 1.
The LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly) program, a partnership of Lutheran SeniorLife and Heritage Valley Health System, is designed to be an alternative to nursing home care, allowing older adults to live independently at home or the home of a caregiver my managing their complex medical, functional and social needs. The program also provides support and assistance to caregivers and family members involved in care.
Eligible enrollees have access to free services including comprehensive medical care from LIFE Beaver County and its providers, adult day services, personal care, complete prescription coverage, rehabilitation therapies, housekeeping and laundry services, recreational programs and transportation to and from the LIFE Center.
