First Annual LIFE Program Purse Bash Tremendously Successful

Published: Thursday, March 27, 2014

Almost 200 women including LIFE Program participants and staff, families, and members of the community attended the first annual LIFE Programs Purse Bash in March. The event was tremendously successful, raising over $11,000 for the LIFE Blessings program.

“We are happy to announce that our first event was sold out,” said Toni Hively, LIFE Programs executive director. “The Purse Bash was created to raise funds for the LIFE Blessings program which provides Christmas gifts each year to more than 500 LIFE Program participants in three counties.” It was also held to commemorate LIFE Beaver County’s 10th anniversary.

The day consisted of drawings to win one of nine designer purses from designers such as Coach, Michael Kors, Dooney and Bourke, and Vera Bradley; strolling purse raffles which provided the opportunity to win a number of other designer purses; a gift basket auction; and the opportunity to visit and shop at 13 vendor tables. Diane Brosius, who performs musical shows frequently at LIFE Beaver County, was the show’s emcee.

The Purse Bash would not have been possible without the help of our many sponsors, donors and volunteers. We would like to sincerely thank Heritage Valley Health System for being our Title Purse and Lunch Sponsor, and CareKinesis, Inc., Platinum Sponsor.
