Beaver Valley Mall Trip

Newhaven Court residents are invited to take a trip to the Beaver Valley Mall. There is a Macy's and JC Penney's as well as a large food court for lunch. Transportation is $8, cost of lunch is on your own.

Thrivent Financial Presentation

Attention all Thrivent Financial members or anyone interested in learning more about what Thrivent can do for you and our community. Thrivent Financial representative Kurt Herbst will be at the Bistro in the Abundant Life Center visiting with residents, employees and community members to discuss Thrivent Choice Dollars and Thrivent's new Action Team fundraising programs, which allow Thrivent product owners to recommend where Thrivent directs charitable dollars, including some Lutheran SeniorLife facilities - at no cost to you! Butler County Orchestra Trip

Enjoy the performance Rachmaninoff's Second Symphony with the Butler County Symphony Orchestra. Cost of transportation is $8, tickets for the show are $20.50. Sign up at the Travel and Events Office.

Wooden Indian Trip

This is a favorite well-established, local restaurant with a pub-like atmosphere. The cost of transportation is $8, the cost of lunch is on your own. This trip is for personal care residents at Passavant Community, but other residents are welcome to attend if space allows.

Strand Theater, Andrew Lloyd Webber Revisited

Residential living residents at Passavant Community are invited to take a trip to the Strand Theater to see a fresh take on the works of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Some of his most famous productions include Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Johseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita and Cats. Pittsburgh Glass Center Trip

When: Tuesday, January 27, 2015 - 10:00amWhere: Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh Glass Center is a non-profit, public access school, gallery and state-of-the-art glass studio dedicated to teaching, creating and promoting glass art. A visit here is an unforgettable and educational experience for all ages. See a glassblowing demonstration, learn about Pittsburgh's rich history in glass and explore a contemporary glass art exhibition. Cost of transportation is $10, cost of the tour is $10.

Heinz History Center Trip

Residential living residents at Passavant Community are invited to spend the day at Pennsylvania's largest history museum. The all interactive environment is devoted to the history and heritage of western Pennsylvania. Cost of transportation is $10 and admission for adults 62 and over is $13. Career Fair

If you are looking for a rewarding career where you can be instrumental in providing an Abundant Life for seniors, please visit our career fair at 115 Nolte Drive Extension, Kittanning, PA on January 19 or January 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Positions to be filled include Nurtrition Support Technician, Driver Assistant, Home Care Assistant, RN Home Care Coordinator, CNAs, Administrative Assistant.

Christmas Lights Tour

Pasavant Community's Newhaven Court residents are invited to join us for a drive around Zelienople and Cranberry Township to see the Christmas light displays.

Holidays at the Carnegie Museum

When: Monday, December 15, 2014 - 10:00am

Residential living residents at Passavant Community are invited to see this popular seasonal display at the Hall of Architecture filled with several towering 20-foot Colorado spruce trees, each adorned with handcrafted ornaments that celebrate the art of play. Also on display is the Neapolitan Presepio, one of the finest nativity scenes of its kind. Handcrafted by artisans between 1700 and 1830, the Presepio features lifelike figures with colorful details that recreate the nativity within a vibrant panorama of 18th century Italian village life. Cost of transportation is $10. Museum admission is $14.95. We will stop at the Olive Garden in Cranberry on the way home for lunch.

Passavant Singers Christmas Concert

B.E. Taylor Christmas Concert

Kick off the holiday season with Lutheran SeniorLife VNA, Western Pennsylvania's 4th annual B.E.Taylor Christmas concert. All proceeds benefit VNA Inpatient Hospice. General admission tickets are $35 advance sale, or $40 at the door (if available). Meet and Greet tickets with reserved seating are $50, and include a special autograph session at 6 p.m. These tickets must be purchased in advance, as there are a limited number available. Kraynak's, Reyers, Daffins Trip

Passavant Community's residential living residents are invited on this Christmas tour. We will start the day at Kraynak's to see their Christmas display and browse in their store. We will then eat lunch at the famous Quaker Steak & Lube. After lunch, we will head to Reyers, "the largest store in the world" in downtown Sharon. Our final stop will be at Daffins Candies. Cost of transportation is $10. Shopping and lunch are on your own.

Festival of Trees and Grand Valley Inn Tour

When: Saturday, November 29, 2014 - 12:00pm

Residential living residents from Passavant Community are invited to tour one of the area's most exciting Christmas holiday events in the tri-state area at the lodge at Brady's Run Park in Beaver County. We will visit the unique and expanded train display and the Candy Cane Lane gift shop. Proceeds from the festival support the Beaver County Children and Youth Services of Beaver County and the volunteer effort of the U.S. SARR Corps in the finding of missing children and adults. After the festival, we will stop for dinner at the Grand Valley Inn. Cost of transportation is $8, entrance to the festival is $4.
