N.A.M.I Family to Family Educational Course

This 12-week series of lectures will be held every Saturday through March. The N.A.M.I. (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Family to Family educational course is for families and friends of individuals with serious mental illness. It is taught and trained by family members who have lived the experience, and will include information on the biology of the brain, a medication review, a communication skills workshop, knowledge and self-care skills needed to deal with their loved one's mental illness along with the impact on the family or friend, advocacy and fighting stigma.
