LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly) is an innovative alternative to nursing home care that emphasizes quality of life for older individuals while remaining in their homes.
Through LIFE, we provide seniors in our communities a full range of social and rehabilitation services, including adult day programming, support care in the client’s home, medication management, meals, recreational programs and transportation to and from the LIFE Center where medical and social needs can be met.
There are LIFE centers throughout Western Pennsylvania—LIFE Beaver County in Aliquippa, PA ; LIFE Butler County in Butler; and our newest LIFE facility, LIFE Lawrence in Center Township—where the majority of services are provided. Other services are provided in the senior’s home.
Caring for more than medical needs.
LIFE Centers provide seniors with valuable social and recreational opportunities that prevent isolation and loneliness. In fact, LIFE provides a full spectrum of services, including adult day care, home care, personal care and nutritional services. Clinical needs are met by LIFE physicians, nurses and rehabilitation therapists. Additional resources provided by LIFE include medical equipment, prescribed medications not covered by Medicare, recreational programs, home safety assessments, transportation to and from the Centers and medical appointments and other services as needed.
Members of the LIFE team truly provide a lifeline for seniors who wish to remain in their homes and communities and provide them with the dignity, independence and safety to live life to its full.
